I have never had a problem with someone shorting their own stocks Katoom.
It's when you borrow the stocks of some one else, without their knowledge or consent, and then drive the SP down by whatever means, make a dollar and give a cut to the institution that loaned them and nothing to the owner of the shares except decreased value.
That is not a casino... that is plain theft.
Don't tell me about morals and where they belong.
Along with HFT and BOTs it is nothing more than manipulation and the ASX is complicit in all of it.
