boatboy, one of the problems Abbott has is that he doesn't think before he speaks, there has been numerous occasions where he has had to back track and apologise for for doing so.

One of the classics is when he delivered a speech saying he would be open and accountable the walked off ignoring questions from journalists.

Abbott is so bad at making gaffs and handling scrutiny that he now avoids interviews.
