"10-30% Coldry:Lignite mix can be used in existing lignite-fired plants for emissions reduction of 5%-15%, without modification to the plant"
That from co. web site. 5-15% doesn't meet gov reduction targets. This is by using a shandy mix. The esi site also states that 100% Coldry is only possible in significantly upgraded lignite plants. The max emission reduction is up to 50% but this is, as the co. states only in "New state-of-the-art black coal power stations." How many of those are in Vic?
Sorry that my post upset you so much Obe. I have refrained from personal attacks and am not posting with the intention of trying to upset you or any other members.
I have many doubts about esi achieving the outcome many other members here think or hope they will. That is my opinion which I am entitled to. Don't think your personal attacks are necessary. I've followed this story for many years now and have as much interest in it as anyone else. Just because I don't hold, it doesn't mean I have any less right to post on these threads. I may not believe what you believe but wouldn't the world be quite boring if we all did?
A MOU is little more than an agreement that means "we could do business in the future." It is non-binding and certainly hasn't brought any real dollars to the table. How many years ago were those mou's signed anyhow?
Personally I think that esi will have a problem meeting the criteria for the gov grant because as it currently stands, esi hasn't secured financial backing for their project. This issue/problem may change this week, but then again it may not. Time will tell.
IMO the low volume in trade at the end of last week and the lack of significant sp spike after the agm was postponed indicates that the market isn't all that excited about the prospects of esi finally securing funds. I think the 'balls up' with Monash over the last 9 months has made many thinks twice.
As I said, all imo which I, just like anyone else, is entitled to have (provided it is in line with the tou).
Best wishes
