Nice if you can get a newspaper before going to work and was the "norm" as a kid.
At first I too thought this was just a "local" problem but *all* of my colleagues from different suburbs of Sydney report the News agent disease.
No one can even bring a paper to work any more and that's been the case for years now (around a 100 work in office).
OK to write newspapers that is only part of it. The next is supplying to public.
People are creatures of habit I just use my tablet on the train to read what I select as news worthy (Google use a bot to select what I like for me no editor needed).
The Herald and Australian just don't rate for me.
When at work every one just watch's TV news ABC (lunch time)or online with computer.
Now with even Lotto online.

Doubt if Newsagents will survive unless they are a proxy Post office (which is now also trying to get online)
