Thanks mate .... that woke me up .. a little anyway! I've been trying to work out which former Lead was Laibedna..I'll have a look at what I can find also on Lead 60. You are absolutely right that we have only had scraps of information on what surveys and CSEMI were donme where. I complained to Simon Potter about this last week .. that we are left to guess .. let's hope he comes up with some sort of release that helps in this regard.

Just as important as whether CSEMI was or was not done is some idea of what the JV's expectations are .. i.e. was Sotto a necessary test but expectations were low and is Espadon a "scientific" well as much as a search for reserves (I think the former). The Info brochure does mention the need for a deviated well because of shallow gas .... that does beg the question ..what do they know about the qwell that we haven't been told.

In Dana's recent AGM statement they say.."Dana is planning to drill an important exploration well in Block 1, offshore Mauritania. Following encouragement from the recent electromagnetic surveys, the Block 1 joint venture group has decided that this well should be drilled to test the Faucon prospect which has the potential to contain over one billion barrels of oil". I would dearly like to know where CSEMI has been done and ... more than that I would like to see a successful well with CSEMI.
