TZL has reached agreement with Coles for the trial of its customised ‘SMArt’ locking solution and its locker management software for 6 refrigerated locker systems at Coles Express locations across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. The Coles sourced refrigerated lockers will be fitted with customised TZ hardware, managed by local TZ application software and a back end locker management system provided by Pitney Bowes Software, which interfaces with Coles on-line systems.
Coles has undertaken a successful trial under its “Click and Collect” initiative at a Coles Express in Windsor, Victoria, which used traditional keys and locks. Customers order online in the morning, picking up later in the day or on the way home from work from a specified locker, notified by SMS or email.
The attractions of the TZI trial for Coles are:
? The ability to collect on a 24/7 basis at a more accessible point with an easier collect process, eliminating the need to collect a key from the Coles Express and eliminating the chance of lost keys.
? Valuable information on shopping and collection habits, as well as providing an audit trail.
If successful, we expect Coles to consider an extended rollout (there are 619 Coles Express sites), generating significant revenue, plus on-going annuity based service and software maintenance revenue.
