you have hit the nail on the head regarding the fiscal cliff

it has been stated the the oz dollar will go down due partly in fact that many yanks are going to pull their funds out of oz in 2013.

imo we have seen this already with big gbg sell offs by jp morgan and maybe other big us instos, this sort of sell of feeds of its self, creates fear and undermines confidence.

once the fiscal cliff is sorted and the selling overhang is over then confidence will be restored by the ongoing healthy economics from china and the us.
