Well well, looks like Labor on the come back trail in Queensland.

    Extract from todays Courier Mail
"If the sentiment measured by today's The Courier-Mail/Galaxy poll stays about steady in the next six to eight months, the federal political contest in this state will be much more competitive than it's looked since the last election.

IF the sentiment measured by today's The Courier-Mail/Galaxy poll stays about steady in the next six to eight months, the federal political contest in this state will be much more competitive than it's looked since the last election.

With an election due in about nine or 10 months, some trends and ominous findings stand out in our latest survey.

As usually happens in the run up to an election, the polls tighten although this political environment has never looked like a "usual" one.

Labor, after having slumped to the low 20s in its proportion of voter support has steadily recovered over the past six months to be at about the same level it managed at the August, 2010 poll.

So, from looking in May this year like every Labor seat would be lost, the Government can now spread some resources to an offensive posture and target a few LNP seats.

Labor has picked up support from across the spectrum with LNP primary backing slumping 10 percentage points in six months and the Greens losing almost a quarter of their potential voters to sit on just 8 per cent."
