But just to clarify for the benefit of others, my previous post was citing a directly quoted word for word source provided in the press release from Procter & Gamble today.
Hi Opel,
There are a number of very good reasons for us to speculate on OBJ providing product enhancement to P&G's “moldtrusion” brush technology - As you have already noted OBJ's expertise in performance enhancement through the application of physical rather than chemical science would directly compliment P&G's earlier breakthrough discovery in the field of mascara innovation. Even discounting OBJ's tech for a moment one of the other important factors for substantiating this claim is that the quality of advanced imaging techniques being used by OBJ today were not around 5 years ago. Could P&G further enhance the performance of it's moldtrusion brush tech without incorporating OBJ's technology? With advanced imaging techniques the answer would have to be, yes - To the same level of performance enhancement as what may be accomplished using OBJ tech platforms? Imho, not a chance!
In 2005 Procter & Gamble launched CoverGirl's Lashblast Mascara incorporating its gamechanging moldtrusion brush technology, and when the world's largest marketing company delivered the biggest US cosmetics launch in history, it catapulted CoverGirl to the #1 global market position in the field of eye cosmetics.
As an investor in a company who have already executed an exclusive broad multi-product joint development agreement with the world's largest marketing company, I'm taking a very keen interest in every single beauty product P&G are launching... whether that be a 2005 moldtrusion brush, or the 2012 enhanced moldtrusion brush... ;)
The JDA with P&G is a significant endorsement of OBJ's technology, and I would never rely on an unqualified market for determining the value of innovative technology platforms which the world's largest consumer goods company employing over 1000 PhD's could not ignore themselves...
One of general opinions I find to be quite conflicting on here is that many of those who have expressed doubts over what OBJ have already accomplished to date are also expressing that OBJ should have the power to share with its s/holders information relating to trade secrets protecting the cosmetic and pharmaceutical actives provided by our global partners - This of course only suggests to me that those who share this opinion must also believe that OBJ are prospectively the most promising biotech company in the world today if one was to expect they should be afforded such extraordinary priviledges...
NovaMin Technology, Inc were not permitted by GSK to inform its s/holders after signing and receiving $135 million dollars in 2009 for its drug delivery technology for tooth remineralisation, so does this mean one can assume that OBJ's tech and its s/holders are far more important than the $135m dollar Novamin tech and Novamins s/holders?
