    re: why disney getthing free adds the disney advertising is restricted to the daytime static as far as i know. dont think rodd would still be giving them night time space......

    i spoke to a guy in marketing at cps credit union on thursday and asked him his impression as to whether the daytime static would be considered a major negative. his impression was that as long as the static was a well presented sign a blue chip company should like their logo to be on display permanently during the day.

    by rights a pepsi, coke, mcdonalds, qantas, fosters or a blue chip advertiser of the like would have jumped at the chance of securing such a dominant space. lets face it, the street level signs are visible in times square, the top of the conde nast is visible to about 15% of manhatten and across the river into new jersey.

    there has to be a bigger issue going on here, clear channel dont have a reputation for being incompetent. if we concede that the sign and location are both decent which i now think they are then there must be a scam happening behind the scenes.
