    The future is in high bandwidth mobile communications, eg smart phones. tablets etc.

    The NBN is pretty much fiber only to every premise / residence. Unless every premise allows public wireless connectivity from any random on the street, then 3G & 4G is the only current option.

    I still believe the best option is FTTN (with last mile in 2 wire copper, coax, wireless or fiber - whatever is most suited)rather than FTTH, but then there are plenty (possibly with self interest) that disagree.
