It's a good acquisition, as mining projects outside of Australia, especialy in Africa, are still favourable to develop. To my mind, they paid too much for MDM, a price under $50m and I'd be singing their praises. As it is, I need to knock off $50m from the value of the combined entity, or roughly 20c per share to account for the SDM managers (and hence investors) being ripped off.
