Access to New Orleans was never blocked. News crews got in on every single day after the disaster.
What seemed to be blocked was anyone wishing the bring aid!
Did you see any red cross people on any of the news reports?
All they had to do was to organize a few hundred buses in on day 1. They could have carried in food and water and then carted out survivors. At least one access road has been open the whole time!
