What a massive beat up - sometimes things are said that are best left for the ether - particularly when spoken in a small, basically private group.
When listening to Beazley and Gillard in parliament blustering on with feigned indignation you would have thought that Abbott had shot and skinned Bambi. The best comment was an interjection of "get real" at which Beazley almost hyper-ventilated.
Abbot waas not referring to Brogden's self harm, he was referring to his political future after his stupid comments. To try to bracket Abbott's comments with Brogden's is drawing a long bow. Labor is just wasting time on point scoring - tell them to get real before it's too late.
