GFC was caused by greedy banks/wall street .... the public has revolted against these institutions
Do we really think that Obama and crew will want to be remembered for causing a recession because of their inability to solve the fiscal cliff. The mobs will turn on these Pollies if they start losing jobs, loved ones and houses. It is that simple.
It would be easier to attack a figure than an institution.
