i still use the long fluoros in several rooms - rarely do they need replacing - but those energy savers are rubbish. i still have a bit of a stock of the old filament globes thankfully.
had two in the lounge but had trouble all the time so replaced them with flouros as well. i also have a couple of halogen which seem to last
