I have gone on the front foot and facilitated a meeting on between sabre and a major WA based drilling company that has a track mounted rig sitting idle in Namibia
I am told these things can get into some pretty inhospitable places so I am hoping this rig could do the job and that sabre is prepared to fork out the cash if they can get the rig where it needs to go.
These guys have contracts with Rio and other major concerns as well as work in the coal seam gas arena in QLD and I am confident if they can get the rig to the pads then they will get the holes drilled. Fingers crossed that we have a solution even if its just in the short term while they sort out if they are going ahead with the man portables themselves.
Tim mentioned at the AGM that they had had approaches from other drilling companies in WA however I am not sure if any of them had available rigs in Namibia which would add signifcant mobilisation expenses.
If it comes off, you all owe me a beer LOL
