speaking of cruising and time on the hands...

how do i get the green gunk of the gold plating around the chrome on my cruiser (motorcycle) ??

i can get chrome/aluminum/steel to sparkle no worries... but have trouble get that gold plating polished up.

google tells me 10 different ways from toothpaste/WD 40/bicarb to get the green gunk off... then 10 different people will tell me it will ruin the finish ?!?
