Hate to say it but DDZX is on the money here and this was recently addressed in a topic titled nearology.
I too am guilty of thinking that the nearology plays offer the best chance of replicating a discovery. I then thought how many of the nearology plays near CDUs Rocklands found something or those near SFRs De Grussa = Zero and I wonder how many SIR wannabes will?
Then I also read this analyst report on another company no where near SIR but the geologist said actually stood a better chance at finding a Nova than the other SIR wannabes because of the following
"Unlike some of the other would-be-Nova-hopefuls
and near-ologists in Western Australia, (Nova is Proterozoic: about 1.5bn years old. The other WA Yilgarn nickel deposits are all
Archean: 2-3 bn years old)."
I was completely unaware of this major fact that "Nova is Proterozoic: about 1.5bn years old. The other WA Yilgarn nickel deposits are all
Archean: 2-3 bn years old"
So if your backing a nearology play try and suss out the age of its target area
Stuffed if I know how you'll find that out
