When I first started in the market several years ago I saw all these recommendations by these analysts and on my comsec account I put them in a list of stocks to consider and watched them over a period of time.
It was interesting because about 3 to 5 days later there was a bit of a surge in most of them but after that they all went down.
One I remember was the Gorgon gas project with about 5 recommendations... most if not all were fizzers. It was obvious that it was for a purpose and all I learnt from that was if it is recommended don't buy it!
But now QR was issued at $2.60 or thereabouts and it seemed to do okay.
