Chemical composition (xrf) does not describe mineralogy or petrology.
I think the use of the term "black powder" is to be lauded as they havent window dressed it up to be something that it is not. The term appears apt and hopefully denotes the start of some "good science" which appears to be an increasingly endangered species.
