ANYBODY serious about gas from Australia would have be "interested" in the Cooper Basin.
Where else would they be looking in Australia, in fact, the world, by comparison??
The beauty is that they WANT it (badly) but, we have GOT it!!
And don't forget, 218 and 855 are getting much more expensive by the minute. No company involved in the Nappamerri Trough "needs" to be taken over and will put up a very tough fight, very unlike ADE for example, and will come at a VERY high price.
Just wait until all results are out from Moonta, Streaky, Halifax and the other three wells BPT is concurrently drilling, let alone what Santos has got planned.
