GENERAL: NZX: Metlifecare AND SUMMERSET to be added to NZX 50 index

Metlifecare AND SUMMERSET to be added to NZX 50 index

12 December 2012. NZX Indices announces changes to the NZX 50 Index following
the December 2012 Quarterly Index Review. The changes below, and the
quarterly index rebalance, will be effective at market open on Monday 24
December 2012.

As a result of the review, Metlifecare Limited (MET) and Summerset Group
Holdings Limited (SUM) will be added to the NZX 50 Index at the December
Quarterly Index rebalance. Both companies have met the ranking and liquidity
requirements for addition to the NZX 50 Index. MET and SUM will take the
place of Goodman Fielder Limited (GFF) and The New Zealand Refining Company
Limited (NZR), who both failed to meet the liquidity requirements for ongoing
inclusion over the last two Quarterly Index Reviews.
