    Co is mainly used for steels with strength at high temperature applications.. As a physical metallurgist I'd specify creep ,resistance. Turbine blades is a major use.

    The price of Co has been all over the place in recent years. No problem floating it off with the Cu which it commonly occurs with. It also occurs with Ni.
