CBA with sp appreciation and dividends, has been the best performing stock since the GFC I think among the top 20 stocks I can think of. Of the Big 4, it is the only one trading within a few % of its all time high. I owned it briefly in 2009, bought at 26 sold at 28 ish thinking what a trade. Had I held on, would have more than doubled my money with dividends to boot.
Also because of its perception as the safest of the Big 4 banks, if the economy turns sour, the other three will be punished more sp wise (particularly NAB) than CBA.
