Yes Eagle, Its the right thing to do as all economists are saying that now is not the right time to go for surpluses.
But this was a promise labor made of their own volition. They made it as an act of political one-upmanship to PROVE Abbott was wrong when he was saying that labor were spendthrifts. They DIDN'T make the promise on liberal urging, they have never done anything for that reason.
So if it is "not the right thing" today, what's changed? Nothing! It never was the right thing.
