I asked a mate who lived in the USA why 4 million voters carry so much weight (NRA members). He said they all vote and a lot would have family who follow suit, whereas most people dont.. 38% turnout in 2010 means the NRA will always be a major player. Maybe compulsory voting may balance their influence.
