Hi Chelks & all the other HC regulars - Merry Xmas & a prosperous New Year to you all.
You make a couple of good points there but what you don't take into consideration is the upside potential in the next few months.
Say you had bought your original 3,000 shares @ $2.50 and then sold them @ $3.40 and bought them back at $3.04.
Then the SP went to $4.50 and you sold again.
Total income 3K x $3.40 + 3K x $4.50 = $23,700
Total cost 3K x $2.50 + 3K x $3.04 = $16,620
Profit = $7080 - this is assuming your 3K SPP is filled...
But, if you had to keep your holdings & just buy the extra SPP 3,000 shares, then:
Total income 6K x $4.50 = $27,000
Total cost 3K x $2.50 + 3K x $3.04 = $16,620
Profit = $10380
_____
The SP has NOT dropped with many holders "Selling to buy back" - so we can expect a good jump after 16 Jan :-)
