Interestingly, after claims their last rally was hijacked by the Opposition, Bersih want nothing to do with this one.

"Speaking to The Malaysian Insider yesterday, Bersih 2.0 co-chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan said the electoral reforms group is not among the organisers of Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat, although a number of its member groups have been listed as participants."

SMSL's involvement simply confirms yet again the political, rather than environmental, base for their protests.
