Okay, the problem is not that China can simply produce more and subsidize their domestic operations. They can't literally produce enough no matter what. The low grade is a real albatross around their neck.
700 MTA of import per year is huge and is growing. The domestic component of that production will FALL over the coming years with more IO being imported as an overall %. This is well published by Vale, FMG and RIO.
If it were that easy, the Chinese wouldn't be paying $190/t sometime last year.
