Those figures were before amortisation of around $220 to $250 million.
Amortisation was much higher in 2012 due to Qbe re-branding various US businesses into Qbe first & the annual $70 million balboa amortisation.
So, your figures of $1.2 billion net profit after tax before amortisation equates to my $950 million Net profit after tax.
Shares outstanding are 1.18 billion so EPS would be closer to 80 cents & DPS at 55 cents (15 cents final divvy).
