Would it make you feel better if the company put out a statement saying "we now inform the market that we can solicit other offers, but we do not have any at the moment. However, we are still negotiating with the original bidder"?
Until there is a change in circumstances in the next week or two, I.e. a firm bid emerges or Petro pulls out, we are unlikely to hear anything I think. Angus would be hoping to wrap it up as soon as he can and then make an announcement.
If no firm bid emerges in the next couple of weeks, I believe we are likely to hear an explanation.
As frustrating as it is, no news is better than bad news at the moment!
