often FA can't value a company either. TA's purpose isn't to value anything, it's to determine the true psychology behind a stock. In any form of analysis there are grey areas. If FA were superior there wouldn't be as many bad buy/sell recs as there are. Psychology is where its origins are however commercial markets have helped Ta morph into pretty lines and a labyrinth of indicators and special effects.

If you got caught there it had nothing to do with technicals. Humble CD and Pelm may all remember I was screaming get out of BNB all the way down from 18 dollars as were many other TA's. At no point was it a buy.
