For equities I've already addressed that. It's an issue of compliance, not choice. You're trying to argue that compliance equals choice, it doesn't. In the same way a fund may be forced to sell a stock that comes out of the 200 as an example. Choice often isn't a factor.
You say show you one broker that has made a buy/sell rec based solely on TA. I say show me one that is allowed to?
However many brokers will use TA to support management of their positions which they are allowed to do.
Advice on forex as an example is not subject to the same restrictions. ANZ as one example recently placed a technical buy rec on the aud/usd.
Anyway this is drifting away from PLV now and becoming a TA versus FA thing which I have far less interest in so I'll move away from this thread now. Thanks everyone, especially bleasby, it was fun.
