Now.

The recenty completed review of Oz's airport security by the British expert, Sir John Wheeler, was commissioned by the Government to examine the threat of serious and organised crime at airports, the integration of ground-based security law enforcement arrangements, and the adequacy of existing security requirements.

Seems he feels the $ spent so far has been ill-directed and has apparently a raft of ideas including enhanced biometrics and retinal based security measures.
