re: results ????? Broadband using power lines is a well known technology - power companies are looking to enter the telecommunications space. The big issue is customer service ... this is a huge barrier to entry for the POwer companies as their systems and service centres are not equipped to deal with complex data handling and pricing/billing and collection. This is the area that Engin is strong in ... get it?
There are also devices that can transport data across power lines internal to a house - beats the crap out of CAT5 cables or wireless dead spots. They are called PLC's. They work really well, you can buy them at Dick Smith and set up a home network in about 10 seconds falt - the time to take the devices out of the box and plug them into the 240V.

I hold a fair bit of ENG just for the record.
