Thanks for the link - its good to see t/o talk attributed to particular brokers even if it is just puffery at this stage. I find the comment from MQB that any corporate activity would have already occured before the farm-out slightly surprising. Surely the likes of BG or Sinopec would be happy to have full ownership of a (say) 200mmbbl oil reserve rather than being in a JV with KAR and PacRubiales?
The line that may get KAR some buying interest is near the top "No peer in the developed Asia-Pacific region is projected to gain value faster, as analysts estimate Karoon will trade 61 percent higher in 12 months, according to data compiled by Bloomberg" . Even if it doesn't, good results in/around March will fix the SP regardless.
