MARKET RELEASE 4 April 2012
CUDECO SIGNS MAJOR AGREEMENT WITH CHINA STATE OWNED
SINOSTEEL CORPORATION FOR SUPPLY OF STRUCTURAL STEELWORK
FOR THE ROCKLANDS GROUP COPPER PROJECT IN QUEENSLAND
The Company is moving forward with awarding of the contract of supply of the structural steelwork for the development and construction of the” three million tonne per year” Rocklands Group Copper Project. The agreement comprises 100% of the structural steel requirements, for the entire mineral processing plant. The structural steel supply agreement requires, all steel to be pre-fabricated prior to export to Rocklands. The pre-fabrication of the structural steel enables the elimination of expensive costs associated with the onsite fabricating, cutting and handling, and in addition, enables timeframes for construction to be significantly reduced.
This agreement follows on from the recent supply agreement of $US58m with Sinosteel Corporation for supply of all the equipment requirements, ball mill, high pressure grind rolls (HPGR), gravity plant, flotation and all associated equipment such as pumps and agitators for the complete Copper/Gold/Cobalt/Sulphur/Magnetite processing plant for the Rocklands Project.
BTW, cu price up with supply (again) tonight.
Law of supply and demand rerated as myth/furphy,
GLTA.
