sent gus an email, he offered a similar reason to that which was posted by wobuzhidao on 04/01/13 - the timeframes offered by HQ are based on those supplied to them from the independent groups completing the resource calculations, and that these estimates are not perfect and the more complex the work being undertaken, the greater degree of freedom that must be offered - presumably he means that the independent groups are working as hard as they can but have been too optimistic in the estimate in time needed for the results to be available.
i also get the vibe that gus is more interested in getting the results right rather than rush out an announcement to meet predicted announcement timeframes.
he signed off by writing "everything is going well".
he did not make a comment on when the results would be out, but then i didn't directly ask.
