The most recent reseach analyst's (non-JORC) estimate of the size of Sirius Resources' Nova discovery puts the overall Nova resource at 8.9mt grading 2.7% Ni and 1.2% Cu, with a total of 200,000t of contained nickel. A very good orebody, but not an outstanding one by historical West Australian standards.
The grade of DRK's recent TS006 '10-30% total sulphide' intersection remains to be seen, but it is very unlikely to be 'an order of magnitude' lower than the above preliminary estimate of the resource grade at Nova. If you asked me to hazard a guess, I would say more likely about a third, and hopefully better. (But that would be incautious so don't ask me).
What certainly is an order of magnitude less, is the depth to the top of Drake's mineralised body: it is just 10 metres, compared to the 200-300m depth to the top of the Nova orebody.
Hands up who has been thinking about those TS006 assay results all weekend..?
