Good argument. Problem is most investors don't/can't see that. Most investors have little clue how exploration or mining actually transpire. A lot tend to invest because they believe in gold, or iron, or zinc, or salt without knowing squat about the industry. As MD of Troy Resources said.
"Troy Resources chief executive Paul Benson said the reporting of cash costs followed a set formula that could be easily understood.
"As long as you know what you're looking at, then (cash costs) are very transparent. The problem is most people, particularly retail investors, don't know what they're looking at," Mr Benson said."
As much as I respect most of your posts, I doubt
"most investors probably factor in roughly $1000 an ounce total costs in Aus anyway."
