To help with the conspiracy theories etc with the one share.
The order of 80,000 at 1.7 was mine. They were part of a parcel that i got at 1.4 and so there was $240 profit in that transaction.
I needed some cash and had that order sitting there for a little while. I was less than happy when someone took one share! I must admit I did consider selling the rest at 1.6, as it would have still given me a profit but decided against it. Fortunately, the rest sold this morning at 1.7
I didn't get charged anything for the one share, not even the cost of the share and no brokerage at all. I was surprised! I got a trade confirmation and contract note but the cost was Zero. Today I got a contract note for the remainder and only the normal brokerage.
How the person was able to buy the single share baffles me as it is a nothing order but moves the shareprice by a significant amount. The only thing I can think of is that the order was placed by a market maker trying to test demand.
