I know some posters seem to have a strong dislike of Hpward, but it it ireffutable that compared to Rudd and Gillard he stands well above them. Look at stability, management, outlook. The current government is a shambles.
You can start your left leaning posts if you like but if you try and assert Australia is better off havong Gillard as PM over Howard (no matter how much you diskike him) you have no credibility.
If you do intend to start your left leaning posts, or anyone else for that matter, it is no answer to raise the GFC. Leaders, like cricketers for example, don't get to pick and choose the conditions in which they play. The test is the way they react to what they confront, not simply bleat 'but the wicket is a green top.'
The fact that the GFC is a defence to poor economic management and instability goes to prove that Rudd and Gillard have let the nation down with their performance. If it doesn't go to prove they are hopeless leaders, does the GFC explain backflips, waste and the boats?
