Single mums don't do it tough in the slightest with what they currently recieve. They shouldn't be afforded the lifestyle of the general population, they are on welfare, it should be no more than what is required to survive(as is the case with the dole). As it is currently, we're encouraging young girls to have kids and live off the rest of us, not only is it wrong for the workers to be paying for this, but it's bad for the future of our country to be encouraging the welfare class to procreate.
Obviously there are some single mums who have ended up that way due to other circumstances but that's no excuse to just throw money at them
