I got some good advice years ago and that was that the only money you should have in the bank is in bank shares.
There is no point in having your money in a bank paying interest which is fully taxable. There are no capital gains and inflation can be a problem.
Money in a bank is "risk free" but not working for you. CDU'S quarterly dividends are far more attractive as,in time, they will enjoy imputation credits.
Your grandchildren will thank you for bequeathing them your CDU shares.
