Peris looked like a deer in headlights, another Mel Meninga. She already pulled the racism card to block criticism. That answer wont cut it when she's stuck explaining policy details.
This is a cruel cynical move by Gillard. Cruel to a loyal member Crossin who has a reputation as a real hardworker and cruel to Peris who isn't up to the job.
