US FDA detains condom shipments from Ansell's Thai plant

Sydney - Friday - September 16: (RWE Aust Business News) - The
United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has decided that all
future condom shipments from Ansell Ltd's (ASX:ANN) Surat Thani,
Thailand, facility will need to be tested as two lots failed to meet
standards.
The level of inspection is level 2.
If the sample selected for inspection does not meet the standard
then the supplying plant is put on detention, requiring all future
shipments to be tested until it is removed from that status.
Ansell said at least 10 successive shipments will have to pass
the test prior to release into the US market and it was expediting
shipments to the US from the facility.
Ansell has two other plants supplying the US market and the
detention is not expected to materially impact the company's financial
results.
Ansell said it was moving to ensure that Surat Thani resolved any
issues swiftly.
LETS HOPE ANSELL CAN BOUNCE BACK WITH BETTER RUBBERS... :) Nothing worse than bad condom news...major leaks in this market are bad. LOL
I could go on and on but they are pricks of jokes and not for every Tom, DICKs or Harry. LOL
