re: Ann: Acquisition of 50% of EcoConnect Aus... Jeff,
It is definetely still with Solakool IMO..
Firstly, the new company EcoConnect is owned by two parties, PANZ and GCN both of which held 25% in the original Solakoolconnect. I feel that both companies have combined their holding of the JV into a third company.
This is often a way of lessening liabilities.
Furthermore, GCN would be so 'formal' to avoid connection of this new enterprise with Solakool. This also points me to the above conclusion.
I think GCN still has high hopes for the venture but has looked further into the participants and decided to lessen its vulnerability. Similarly with PANZ.
Just my take.
Notice they also used the 'manufacturers' specification on energy saving rather than the 'supplier' which would be SolaKool. Also no mention of carbon credits.
All points to GCN lessening liability to a 'not-so-great' deal.
