imo before we ever even as much contemplate a referendum the whole excercise needs to be costed
i watched one pro republic individual squirm every time a member of the audience asked what was a perfectly good question,eventually he admitted that no costing to replace every mention of 'commonwealth' as we know it,stationary flags,buildings etc etc not just here but everywhere we have a presence.
by the end he stated 'who cares what the cost is,we want it "?
lets have a referendum,but lets make sure each and everyone of us is fully aware how much money we are parting with to give a few (the majority of which have no family history of this country but harbor little more than a hatred for anything British)their day in the sun
