these are of my cats, and I was practising drawing and painting the fur.... all of my cats, dogs and animals including the horses and cows were rescued animals
Gemma was a cat with real attitude, and none of them were allowed on a table...I came home from work one day, and this cat jumps up onto the table in front of me, and pretends to go to sleep....so I did this drawing in less than 10 minutes...I was so pleased with it, I never touched it again.
This was an oil painting, again to practice capturing the fur. She was an old cat that I had recently rescued, she had been surviving on her own for weeks and was in very poor condition, she was so thin, and looked very young. I was surprised when the vet said she was at least 13 years old.
